About

Our History

In the spring of 2009, Sovereign Grace Church of Gilbert, AZ sent out 30 members from their congregation to the West Valley for the start of Grace Church. It was a bittersweet Sunday as we genuinely loved the fellowship we possessed, but it was thrilling for the sake of the mission we were called to.

As families relocated to the Northwest Valley, we began meeting in the Daukas house for our Sunday Gatherings and times of training. God blessed us with some new families over the summer and we officially publicly launched the church on August 30th, 2009 at the Rio Vista Recreation Center. We met on Sundays at 4pm for a over a year until God opened up the door for us to move to Sunday mornings at Copper Creek Elementary School.

We are grateful for the partnership that we continue to have with Sovereign Grace Church. From resources to preaching support, we have been blessed by the stability that our relationship with them provides. In addition, both churches are a part of Sovereign Grace Ministries, which exists to plant, strengthen, and serve churches and church planting. Through SGM, Grace Church has received training, resources, and financial support that has well served our congregation in the initial phase of church planting.

We are grateful to have partnerships like these as we seek to fulfill God’s mission for our church.
