Praise and Thanksgiving

Father, you are awesome! Infinitely powerful and spotlessly holy. It’s right that we come before you in reverence but we adore you that we can stand in your presence with confidence and with rejoicing this morning thanks to Jesus! We praise you, Lord, that as your children Jesus is a friend who stays closer than a brother. He is the balm to sooth all our sorrows, the strength to secure all our victories, the supreme comfort in our afflictions. He is our shield, our defender, our glorious hope. Nothing we desire in this world even begins to compare with him!

Global Topics

We pray again for the outreach run by the Church in Italy where the Campbell’s used to worship, seeking to teach job skills and having Bible study with refugees in the area. We ask for blessing on the three church plants that have recently been started in the area that work with Serenissima and are seeking to reach their communities for the gospel. Some of the leaders have health issues. They also asked for prayer for wisdom in guiding many new believers in the Word.

National Topics

We have just been celebrating Independence Day and we are rightly thankful for the freedoms we have in this country. Please help us, though, not to live as independently from one another as we can, and help us not to live as though we are independent of you. Pour out your Spirit on this land so that we may all enter into the liberty from slavery to sin and to Satan that Christ died to secure for His people. Help us to live in total dependence on you and to understand in the church that you have designed us to be dependent on one another. “No man is an island”, as the poet said.

Local Topics

Trinity Bible Church and their pastor, our friend Josh Vincent. Grace for the whole family and for the incomprehensible love and peace of Christ to overflow to them and in them. Blessings on the life and ministry of the fellowship.
