Praise and Thanksgiving

Psalm 90:13-17 – Return, O Lord! How long? Have pity on your servants! Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, and for as many years as we have seen evil. Let your work be shown to your servants, and your glorious power to their children. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands.

Heavenly Father, we praise you for calling us to believe in your Son Jesus Christ. Our sin, so complete and enslaving, has been removed by the precious blood of Jesus. Thank you for showing us so much grace. Thank you for filling our lives with so much providence, blessings of goodness from your hand. We have merited none of this. Give us humility to see the depths of our sin and the immense scale of your forgivness. We long for the day we are free from our sinful natures. We do earnestly pray for your return O Lord, come quickly and restore creation.

Rescue us Lord from the cares of this world which so easily choke out our love for you. Fill us with the joy of your gift of salvation so that we can’t help but share. And soften the hearts of our neighbors to hear your gospel!
