Overview
At the core of our doctrine is the gospel of Jesus Christ — the glorious truth that Jesus Christ died and was raised so that sinners would be reconciled to God. The gospel is our primary passion and the driving influence in our church’s preaching, worship, small groups, and outreach. We believe resolutely that Scripture alone is the infallible and authoritative word of God and is to be the sole foundation for the church’s convictions. We believe in the sovereignty of God in salvation, being grateful for the way this essential teaching was recovered during the Reformation. We believe that local churches are God’s primary means for advancing the Great Commission, and are the context in which all believers are to grow in holiness and be equipped for service as witnesses to the saving grace of God. We are confident that these convictions will produce a passion for God’s glory in the world and a passion for Christ-centered community in the church when hearts are enlivened by the power of God’s indwelling Spirit.
